A day to remember in Salisbury, NC
We are so blessed to have had the opportunity to photograph our friends' wedding at The Abbey in Salisbury! They were the perfect couple who kept the moments fun while also being able to strike a pose at a moment's notice.
About the Venue:
The venue itself was originally constructed in 1940 with a California mission style, but has now been artfully repurposed into a refined setting for indoor weddings and receptions. This venue was a perfect for photos with incredible natural light for the ceremony from all the windows, a balcony overseeing the sanctuary along with beautiful outdoor area for bridal party and bride and groom photos. The outdoor hallway would be great for a first look too! Their team of wedding planners were very helpful to get us setup and ready to go to.
Pro tip: Request that the indoor window shutters be open to maximize the natural light!
About the Couple:
Jenna and Kevin were very thoughtful and accommodating to their guest by opting to have vegan desserts and a coffee bar instead of an open bar, and yes- it was just as much a hit as cocktail hour! Their color scheme remained true to themselves by having a mix of purple and gray.
